WELCOME!

The Teaching of English as a Second Language One Specific Topic (TESL 1 STop) National Seminar organised by the Faculty of Educational Studies is intended to provide in-depth coverage to and discussion on a selected topic of interest in the field of Teaching English as a Second Language. The inaugural edition of the TESL 1STop national seminar will focus on the topic of English Language Teacher Education in Malaysia and will discuss the theme “Roadmaps to success for English Language Teacher Education in Malaysia”. This topic is both timely and relevant. All stakeholders, beginning from parents to employers, are interested parties who would want English language instructors at the primary, secondary and tertiary levels of education to be trained in their profession and capable of accomplishing their task of raising the English language proficiency of their students. This seminar is a perfect platform for discussion and networking in order to better understand the challenges and steps needed in order to ensure quality English language teachers at primary, secondary and tertiary levels of education.
